2021 - 2022: A Coming of Age

This year, I sense, is a coming of age for us, the bride of Christ. Just like turning 21 marks adulthood, I sense that 2021 (and 2022) is going to see the sons and daughters of God grow up into a place of maturity and understanding. There is going to be a recognition that “the kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:17) and through identity, sons and daughters will take ahold of it and move in authority, love and power in ways we haven’t known before.

“Right believing leads to right behaving” and as we understand who we are, good works will be carried out. Not only that, signs will follow those who believe. In Jesus name we will heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. And in freedom and joy they will give. (Matt. 10:8).

I saw a picture of a bee hive hanging from a tree. It was being repeatedly poked with a stick, disrupting a bee or two every time. Finally the constant poking awoke the whole hive and the bees began to swarm and move as one. I sensed the enemy has tried to agitate and harass members of the Body of Christ and by doing so, he has now awoken an entire army  on a mission, ready for war. There has been a shaking over the past year (and I sense there will be more), but it is producing a righteous indignation in the body. The enemy has overplayed his hand and where he’s tried to afflict the few, he’s awoken an army ready to charge!

I sense this will result in a flourishing of the five fold gifts in the body, “so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Eph. 4:14-16.

We will no longer be infants but crave the mature, spiritual meat. There is a call to arms in the spirit and as the nations are in turmoil, the revealing of the sons and daughters will be made manifest (Rom. 8:19). It’s time for the sons and daughters to rise into the fullness of what Christ laid ahold of for them (Phil. 3:12). Passivity must bow to the name of Jesus. The intimidation of the enemy that has kept some silent will be a non-issue as they walk in identity-revealing righteousness, as bold as lions (Prov. 28:1).

The shaking will produce this. What the enemy means for harm, the Lord always turns for good (Gen. 50:20, Rom. 8:28). The shaking has awoken us! And it will move us into position, in the natural and in the spirit, as we arise and shine in this new day - a new era of glory.

We have three little children so on New Year’s Eve we celebrated early and went to bed at our usual time of 9pm. The Holy Spirit woke me up at 12:12am on the 1st January, 2021. (This is the second time in as many months that the Lord has woken me at 12:12am. The last time was 1st November, 2020). The number 12 represents Governmental alignment (Rev. 21). I sense the Lord’s desire to shift His body into alignment with the government of God to see the kingdom established in the earth. It will take the partnering of sons and daughters in the spirit and through our coming of age, we will see it! As we come into agreement with His lordship for the earth, it will bring forth alignment in the nations. First in us, His body, then in the nations as Godly governments are established. Through prayer we will be positioned and usher this in.

Both wake times took place on the 1st of the month. It points to a new beginning, a new opportunity and divine invitation into the establishment of the government of God in the earth through us, his sons and daughters.

“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.” Is. 9:7

The sound of His voice will be amplified in the earth and there will be signs in the heavens that decree who He is. As it’s been said, the tone of His voice is changing as we grow into maturity to receive a greater depth of understanding and direction from him. Just as parents change the way they speak to their children as they grow and mature, so shall the way He communicates with us, his children, change. His voice will become the constant companion of many, and indeed their greatest treasure.

I sense 2021-2022 will be our coming of age and that its outworking will continue to increase in the years to come as the kingdom advances throughout the earth!
